The Institute of Management Consultants USA
ROM is committed to continuous professional development, the highest standards and practice of ethical practices, and contribution to the professions in which its consultants practice. Our principal outside focus is on advancing the profession of management consulting through its professional association and certifying body - The Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA). We require all our consultants and affiliates to be members of this organization and be bound by its standards of professional conduct and rules of procedure for enforcement.
IMC USA awards the internationally recognized Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation, representing demonstrated technical competence, consulting experience, client satisfaction, knowledge of management consulting competencies and adherence to high ethical standards as evidenced by oral and written examinations and a panel interview. CMCs must renew their certification every three years.
Mark Haas, ROM President, is the IMC USA Past National Board Chair and its current Ethics Chair. He wrote the current IMC USA Code of Ethics and Rules of Procedure for Enforcement and chairs the ethics adjudication panel for the management consulting professional association's members.

Harvard Kennedy School
The HKS mission is to train enlightened public leaders and generate the ideas that provide solutions to our most challenging public problems. A remarkable collection of people join us in that mission. HKS graduates include: U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki- moon; World Bank President Robert Zoellick; Mexico's President Felipe Calderon; Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong; the first elected female president in Africa, Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf; and Hong Kong's Chief Executive Sir Donald Tsang.
On issues as diverse as climate change, welfare reform, international security, and international development, ideas developed by Harvard Kennedy School faculty, staff, and students are having a vital and highly visible impact. Similarly, ideas about leadership, decision making, or public deliberation all matter and shape our capacity to govern.
Mark Haas is a member of the DC Alumni Council, the largest HKS council in the world, with about 5,000 members, comprising a significant network of public policy and leadership.
